The church carol services are fantastic events to invite people along to, and if you’d like to help re-tell the Christmas message by being part of the choir, now’s the time to get involved. Male, female, young, old, first-timers or seasoned regulars, everyone is welcome to sing some of the greatest old and new Christmas music around. We sing all kinds of things, taking in the great ‘Carols for Choirs’ core repertoire, other beautiful Christmas music, and plenty of new arrangements for choir and orchestra/band. It’s a great thing to be a part of, and if you’re interested in singing then please get in contact.
Rehearsals:
- 7:15-9pm on Mondays 28th October, 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th November, and 2nd December.
Services:
- 8th December 6:30pm (with afternoon rehearsal),
- 15th December 3:30pm,
- 15th December 6:30pm (food provided in between).
Please try to be available for all three services – students for whom that last date is outside of term time: stick around another couple of days, bring your folks along to the service, and go home on the Monday – you won’t regret it. Please email Olly Hamilton on music@plattchurch.org if you hope to come along.
Have a listen to some of the more modern Christmas music and arrangements we’ve done over the years (but a typical carol service would contain plenty of ‘classics’ as well):
Here we are doing our thing in 2014 – please join us this year!
